Before you apply

This is a selective pilot programme. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. The first intake is limited to 5 places so the training can remain practical, personal and manageable.

Please make sure you understand:

  • the programme starts on 1 October 2026;
  • the programme runs from October to December 2026;
  • the first intake is limited to 5 selected participants;
  • the academy is a private training programme created by Windows Repair Galway;
  • the programme is not a state-recognised qualification;
  • the programme does not guarantee employment, paid work, income, subcontracting or future collaboration;
  • some field-based learning may require weekday availability;
  • Safe Pass, Manual Handling or PPE may be required for some training days;
  • FENIPAX workflow training is planned, subject to product readiness.

Applicant fit

Who should apply?

This programme is best suited to practical, reliable people who want to learn a specialist repair trade and understand the workflow behind a professional repair business.

This may suit you if you:

  • want to retrain into a practical trade;
  • already work in construction, maintenance, handyman services or property care;
  • are comfortable using tools or willing to learn;
  • want to start or add a small repair service;
  • are interested in diagnostics, measurements, quotations and customer communication;
  • can attend selected training days between October and December 2026.

This may not suit you if you:

  • want a purely online course;
  • expect guaranteed work or income;
  • expect a state-recognised qualification;
  • cannot attend field-based training;
  • are not comfortable with physical work;
  • are not willing to follow safety rules.
